You're a trader, you just don't know it yet!
It’s easy to ward off investors and traders as gamblers. When they lose, it can be severe. When they win heavily, it has a ripple effect on everyone.
There are gatherings, even in families where you cannot speak about trading without someone rolling their eyes in disapproval. What the public has not come to realize is that everything is a trade-off, and everyone is a trader, of some sort.
We’re all exchanging something (energy, effort, money, time) for another. It’s important to question what’s worth the stress.
It’s another morning; as an employee, you have to get dressed and go to your 9 to 5. It’s worth it to consider the opportunity cost of the energy you’re exchanging to earn a living. Is the pay worth the sacrifice? Could you be doing something more profitable? You know it’s time you’re trading, but you’re trading it for profit.
Some unhappy marriages/ relationships still exist because some people have chosen to stay, afraid of what could happen if they leave. Their future could be potentially better, but they’re trading it for a familiar zone, or perhaps “security” of some sort.
There are people who have no principles, who do immoral and unlawful things for money; then those who have principles, but can be bought with money. There are those in power today, who trade their principles for the pockets of sponsors who have dubious plans. There’s barely a difference in all three, as they trade ethics for money.
Then there are the financial traders/ investors; people who exchange their money for assets that could go up in value, whether in the short/long term. They expose their capital to the possibility of returns. They understand the risks and trade them for profits.
Reality is that we are all trading something (time, money, and energy). Everyone is a trader. We should be more concerned with whether the trade-off is worth it.
That way, we can have the energy to bounce back when we fall hard!
