Slaughter Convenience!
Imagine Web3 projects raised millions of dollars in seed funds and series rounds without putting out a roadmap and estimated deadlines.
It would be irresponsible for retail to invest in such a project without a roadmap/plan to put out one soon.
There are no projections on when the product goes live/ major updates made on the protocol.
Users will have nothing to look forward to or hold teams accountable to.
Dated Roadmaps keep the project teams on their feet. After all, no one wants to tamper with the public perception of their products, & personal image.
Crypto is fast-paced. It only takes a couple of failed deadlines for users to give up on your project.
If I ran a poll to put an expiry date on access to all courses at bitville.academy v lifetime access, a larger percentage of users would vote for lifetime access - for convenience sake.
Unsurprisingly, many will never complete these courses because they can "always" do it another day.
Little wonder why you haven’t started that business yet/ taken up that desired skill?
Because of the illusion that there’s always another day.
For the same reason, you put in the most effort into a given task at your job closer to the deadline because you know you “have to meet up” or risk being penalized.
Obviously, convenience does not create urgency and accountability; and a strategy that doesn't create both could be far from effective.
Would you rather do what's convenient or effective? I know you want a slice of both. So…
Better put, what would be more beneficial to you? Convenience or effectiveness?
Progress is faster when it’s measured.
It's a process top organizations use to sieve and retain the most interested participants/ talents, creating solid teams and collaborators to projects.
Top performers usually slaughter convenience on the altar of effectiveness!
Want to become a better trader, analyst, business person, effective performer, and ultimately a better human?
